2025 Fundraiser for DOCOF

DOCOF is extremely fortunate to present a Ward Falkner Workshop. Ward brings style and class to the sport of Obedience. When competing, Ward’s dogs are accurate, fast and display pure enjoyment while working each exercise as expressed by Petra Ford below.

Petra Ford Comment re Ward and Zoom

“This is an absolutely amazing team. Insanely accurate while maintaining speed and style. Everyone should be striving to attain all three.”

Ward’s philosophy on teaching:

  • Teaches and trains by explaining how dogs learn and using this knowledge in combination with games and positive reinforcement to develop a “want to” rather than “have to” attitude in the dog.
  • Teaches participants how to play with and train their dogs so they as handlers become the ultimate reward and insists both the handler and dog have fun.
  • Author of numerous articles on dog obedience training and behavior published by Yahoo Canada and Dog Sport Magazine.
  • Produces obedience training videos (20–30-minute presentations) published on his YouTube channel – available to the public without charge.
  • Presents obedience training seminars across North America – from Victoria, BC to St. John, NB in Canada and Honolulu, HI to Orlando, FL. In the USA.
  • Teaches and mentors numerous students of the sport – without expecting remuneration. Remuneration is found in the success of the student.
